quake 2, decent into cerberon, sonic mayhem

Recorded sporadically over 2 days, as a tribute to the game that broke barriers, and gave us one of the most kick ass gaming soundtracks to date. Originally composed and released by @sonicmayhem_official for the Quake 2 Soundtrack, "Decent into Cerberon" is, in my opinion, the title track of the game, and has a way of adding an energetic suspense to the scene you are dropped into at the beginning of your slaughter fest.

This is one of the many first tracks from my early teen years that inspired me to get into music and recording. Recorded on my landlord's guitar, and back tracked in FL studio 10. I'm not completely happy with the way the chorus riff came out, but I'm slowly learning to accept less than perfect, given my limited capacity to produce the best I can... with all real instruments. Maybe one day...
